Thought mine, I think, is the IP-2. I had one put into my '67 D-18 about, maybe, 4 or 5 years ago. IIRC, the IP-1 is passive and the IP-2 is active? If you have a quality outboard preamp, that won't matter at all, really. Though, theoretically the IP-2 preamnp could be better matched to the pickup. You should an outboard preamp, anyway.
